Python Developer

Role Overview

We are hiring a Python Developer to build, evaluate, and improve AI-powered tools and code generation systems. In this role, you will write production Python, evaluate AI-generated code for correctness and quality, and contribute to model improvement on coding tasks. The ideal candidate writes clean code and reasons rigorously about correctness.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Python services, scripts, and tooling.
• Evaluate AI-generated code outputs using structured rubrics and edge case testing.
• Write test cases that validate functional correctness and code quality.
• Reproduce bugs, file clean tickets, and verify fixes.
• Partner with developers and product to raise code quality standards.
• Contribute to evaluation criteria and rubric design for code generation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional Python development experience.
• Strong understanding of Python idioms, data structures, and standard library.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests (pytest, unittest).
• Clear written communication for code review and documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience evaluating AI or LLM output quality.
• Familiarity with Python frameworks (FastAPI, Django, Flask).
• Experience with async Python, type hints, and modern tooling (uv, ruff, mypy).
• Background in data engineering or ML pipelines.
• Open source contributions.
