Qa Automation Testing Engineer

• *Duties & Responsibilities** • *Quality Strategy & Test Execution** • Understand customer, business, and technical requirements to develop effective test plans and cases. • Design, develop, and execute **manual and automated** tests to validate the quality of web applications. • Analyze test results, identify defects, document issues, and collaborate with development teams to drive resolution. • Assist in the development, maintenance, and improvement of quality assurance standards, policies, and procedures. • Perform root cause analysis on defects and recommend corrective and preventive actions. • *Automation Engineering (Cypress Focus)** • Develop automated testing solutions for web applications using **Cypress (JavaScript/TypeScript)**. • Enhance and maintain the HGV automation framework, adding new test coverage and improving reliability. • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred). • Ensure automation follows best practices for scalability, maintainability, and speed. • *Continuous Improvement & Leadership** • Lead quality improvement initiatives across multiple product teams. • Monitor project progress and provide quality status updates to project managers and stakeholders. • Participate in product demos, sprint ceremonies, and user acceptance testing (UAT). • Train, mentor, and guide junior quality engineers and technicians. • Generate regular reports on quality metrics for leadership and management reviews. • Stay up date with emerging QA tools, automation frameworks, and industry best practices. • *Cross Functional Collaboration** • Partner closely with UX, development, DevOps, product, and business stakeholders. • Support multiple projects simultaneously, managing priorities in a fastpaced environment. • Represent Quality Engineering in architectural discussions and design reviews. • *Required Skills & Qualifications** • Bachelor degree in engineering, Computer Science, Quality Assurance, or related field. • **5+ years of experience** in software quality engineering or a related role. • Handson experience with **Cypress** or similar JavaScript based test automation frameworks. • Strong understanding of engineering principles, SDLC, UI/UX testing, and quality methodologies. • Working knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and best practices. • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making abilities. • Excellent communication, collaboration, influence, and leadership skills. • *Preferred Skills & Qualifications** • Masters degree in engineering, Quality, or related field. • Experience building or enhancing automation frameworks in a CI/CD environment. • Experience with **Azure DevOps pipelines**, Git, and build/deployment automation. • Background in the **hospitality** or **travel/entertainment** domain. • Familiarity with cloud technologies, microservices, or modern web architecture.
