QA Engineer ( Manual & Automation )

Role Overview

AltiusHub is looking for a QA Engineer who is passionate about product quality and has hands‑on experience in both manual and automation testing. You will collaborate closely with the Engineering team, Product/Project Managers, and stakeholders to ensure high‑quality software delivery across the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with developers, product and project team, and stakeholders to understand project goals, requirements, and deliverables
• Define and evolve QA strategy, methodology, and automation framework.
• Author, execute and maintain test charters, test cases, procedures and plans, automated test scripts and code.
• Design, develop, implement, and improve various test methodologies, plans and automation.
• Lead the evaluation and implementation of modern QA tools and technologies (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber).
• Identify, document, and track defects; provide detailed diagnostic information for faster resolution.
• Perform functional, non‑functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and release testing.
• Maintain and enhance test environments and automation frameworks.
• Explain test results clearly and guide developers on exit criteria and release readiness.
• Participate in Sprint and Release planning, providing accurate test effort estimates.
• Identify gaps in the quality assurance and testing processes, generate solutions, and actively address them for continuous improvement.
• Ensure quality is embedded throughout the entire product lifecycle.

Requirements

• Minimum 4+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance
• Bachelors degree in engineering.
• Strong experience in automation testing, test planning, and QA methodologies
• Strong working experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber.
• Experience in RX JS, Node JS, Python, Core Java, Typescript, JEST and Java Script
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL or any other related databases.
• Ability to perform stress and performance testing.
• Hands‑on experience testing web‑based applications (front‑end and back‑end)
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum processes
• Identifying areas of improvements in productions processes and product quality, and work collaboratively with Engineering teams to implement the enhancements.
• Maintaining comprehensive documentation of quality standards, procedures and test results
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively in small, highly collaborative teams
• Strong attention to detail with a quality‑first mindset
