QA Engineer / QA Lead (API & Automation Testing)

Job Summary

We are hiring a Senior QA Engineer / QA Lead to ensure the quality, performance, and usability of our software systems particularly our APIs. You will lead testing efforts, design test strategies, automate execution, and guide QA team members. The ideal candidate will have both hands-on testing skills and leadership experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and strategies for API and software testing.
• Automate API testing using Postman or equivalent tools.
• Lead performance, regression, and usability testing initiatives.
• Assign tasks and mentor QA team members.
• Conduct cross-environment testing including web and mobile.
• Analyze test results for performance bottlenecks and bugs.
• Collaborate with product, development, and external stakeholders for requirement clarity.
• Translate business requirements into structured test cases.
• Participate in audits and ensure compliance readiness.
• Maintain detailed documentation using tools like JIRA and Confluence.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech/MCA in Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years of QA experience .
• Proficiency in REST/SOAP APIs, Postman, JIRA, Confluence.
• Experience in performance testing tools like JMeter.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum.
• Experience with software audits and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of HTTP, test methodologies, and bug tracking.
