[Remote] Cybersecurity Threat Analyst (WAF / F5 Security Engineer)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Hornet Staffing, Inc, a GEE Group company, is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Threat Analyst with a strong focus on Web Application Firewall (WAF) security. The role involves managing and optimizing WAF solutions, performing vulnerability assessments, and securing enterprise web applications.

Responsibilities • Implement, configure, tune, and maintain WAF solutions • Perform application vulnerability scanning and remediation • Develop Python automation for WAF management, scanning, and reporting • Analyze and respond to security incidents and alerts • Collaborate with development teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines • Create and maintain technical documentation

Skills • 4+ years of cybersecurity experience (application security, WAF, or vulnerability scanning) • Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning tools and WAF platforms (F5 preferred) • Strong Python skills for automation and REST API integrations • Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and web application attack techniques • Experience with Jenkins, JSON, and security tooling • Active CISSP or CEH certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months) • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience
