Our client is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Remote Financial Analyst to join their finance department. This role is crucial for providing critical insights into financial performance, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring fiscal responsibility. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and improve financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning.
  • Analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and providing explanations.
  • Prepare regular financial reports, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support the budgeting process by gathering data, consolidating information, and preparing budget submissions.
  • Assist in the evaluation of new business initiatives, investments, and strategic projects from a financial perspective.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management and department heads.
  • Monitor key financial metrics and KPIs, reporting on performance and areas needing attention.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and reporting systems.
  • Stay abreast of economic conditions, industry trends, and regulatory changes that may impact financial performance.
  • Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure proper financial record-keeping and reconciliation.
  • Develop ad-hoc financial reports and analyses as requested.
  • Automate and streamline financial reporting processes where possible.
  • Assist in the preparation of materials for board meetings and investor relations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Proven experience as a Financial Analyst, preferably in a remote setting.
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and valuation skills.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis software, advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros), and data visualization tools.
  • Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Professional certifications such as CFA or CPA are advantageous.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
