Junior Data Scientist

Our client, a cutting-edge technology firm focused on artificial intelligence research, is looking for a highly motivated and talented Junior Data Scientist to join their fully remote team. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the collection, cleaning, and preprocessing of large datasets for AI model training.
• Develop and implement machine learning models under the guidance of senior data scientists.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
• Perform statistical analysis and hypothesis testing to validate research findings.
• Visualize data and model results to communicate complex information effectively.
• Contribute to the research and development of new AI algorithms and techniques.
• Collaborate with the research team to design and execute experiments.
• Document research methodologies, code, and findings thoroughly.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
• Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to a collaborative remote research environment.
• Support the deployment and evaluation of AI models in relevant applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong understanding of statistical concepts and machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, deep learning).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, including relevant libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch).
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Tableau).
• Familiarity with database querying languages (e.g., SQL).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently in a remote setting.
• A genuine passion for artificial intelligence and machine learning.
• Previous internship or research experience in data science or AI is a plus.
