Our client, a global leader in cloud services, is seeking an experienced and visionary Remote Lead Cloud Security Architect to join their elite cybersecurity division. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing robust cloud security architectures across multiple cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Your expertise will be critical in protecting our cloud-based infrastructure, applications, and data from sophisticated cyber threats.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and best practices.
- Conduct security assessments of cloud environments.
- Lead the response to cloud security incidents.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure security is embedded into the cloud development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Mentor junior security engineers, providing technical leadership.
- Stay ahead of emerging cloud security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Articulate complex security concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Influence the company's cloud security posture and drive innovation in cloud security solutions.
- Consistently deliver high‑quality security solutions in a dynamic, cloud‑native environment.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with cloud security tools and technologies, including identity and access management (IAM), data encryption, network security groups, and security information and event management (SIEM) in cloud contexts.
- Deep understanding of compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR as they apply to cloud environments.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.
- Proactive and self‑motivated attitude.
Location
Remote (based in Bauchi, Bauchi, NG)
