Our client, a forward-thinking data-driven organization, is looking for an experienced and innovative Lead Data Scientist to spearhead their predictive analytics initiatives on a fully remote basis. This is a key leadership role where you will guide a team of data scientists, architect sophisticated predictive models, and translate complex data insights into actionable business strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in statistical modeling, machine learning, programming, and a proven ability to lead projects from conception to deployment in a remote setting.

Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced predictive models and machine learning algorithms to solve complex business problems across various domains. Mentor and manage a team of data scientists, providing technical guidance, performance feedback, and career development support. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their challenges, identify opportunities for data science application, and define project requirements. Oversee the entire data science project lifecycle, including data acquisition, cleaning, feature engineering, model training, validation, and deployment. Conduct in-depth exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that can drive business decisions. Evaluate and implement new data science methodologies, tools, and technologies to enhance the team's capabilities. Develop robust data pipelines and ensure the scalability and reliability of predictive models in production environments. Communicate complex findings and recommendations clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences through reports, presentations, and visualizations. Champion best practices in data science, machine learning, and ethical AI within the organization. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, AI, and machine learning research and industry trends. Qualifications: Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field. A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in data science and machine learning, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or team management role. Proven expertise in statistical modeling, predictive analytics, machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, deep learning), and model evaluation techniques. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with relevant libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Pandas, NumPy). Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and SQL. Strong understanding of data manipulation, database management, and data warehousing concepts. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively influence stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to lead remote teams, manage projects, and deliver results in a distributed work environment. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps practices is a strong plus.
