Our client, a leading innovative insurance provider, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Senior Data Scientist to drive advanced analytics and data-driven decision-making across the organization. This fully remote role offers the opportunity to work on complex challenges within the insurance domain, leveraging cutting-edge machine learning techniques, statistical modeling, and big data technologies. You will play a crucial role in developing predictive models, optimizing risk assessment, enhancing customer segmentation, and improving overall business strategy.

Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and deploy advanced statistical models and machine learning algorithms for various insurance applications, including risk pricing, fraud detection, claims analytics, and customer lifetime value prediction. Clean, transform, and analyze large, complex datasets from diverse sources to extract meaningful insights. Collaborate with business stakeholders (e.g., underwriting, claims, marketing, product development) to identify key business problems and translate them into data science solutions. Develop and maintain data pipelines and ensure the scalability and efficiency of analytical solutions. Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to understand data patterns and identify potential areas for modeling. Communicate complex analytical findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences through visualizations and presentations. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, and explore their applicability to the insurance industry. Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to building a strong data science culture within the company. Ensure the ethical and responsible use of data in all analytical endeavors. Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of robust and maintainable analytical codebases. Qualifications: Master's or Ph.D. in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a Data Scientist, with a significant focus on the insurance or financial services industry. Expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, time series analysis, deep learning), and model evaluation techniques. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with relevant libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, pandas, NumPy). Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets in distributed computing environments (e.g., Spark, Hadoop). Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, Seaborn). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to business stakeholders. Ability to work independently and effectively manage projects in a fully remote setting.
