Remote Senior DevOps Engineer

As a Senior DevOps Engineer at our client's rapidly expanding tech firm, you will play a crucial role in building and scaling robust, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure for cutting-edge products. Your responsibilities will include:

- Designing, implementing, and managing scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP. - Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for automated building, testing, and deployment of applications. - Implementing and managing containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. - Automating infrastructure provisioning and management using tools like Terraform or Ansible. - Monitoring system performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing optimizations. - Ensuring system security through best practices, regular audits, and vulnerability management. - Troubleshooting and resolving complex production issues in a timely manner. - Collaborating with development and QA teams to streamline the software development lifecycle. - Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, processes, and procedures. - Participating in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical systems. - Continuously evaluating and recommending new technologies and tools to improve our DevOps practices. - Mentoring junior engineers and sharing knowledge across the team.

Qualifications required for this role include:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or SRE role. - Proven expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). - Hands-on experience with container orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes). - Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash). - Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI). - Expertise in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation). - Solid understanding of networking concepts and security principles. - Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack). - Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. - Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team. - Experience with microservices architecture is a plus.
