At the heart of Saint Quentin en Yvelines, the Elancourt site is one of Thales's most important technological centers of excellence. The diversity and technicality of systems and equipment mobilize know-how in more than 80 professions in high-tech defense, security solutions and digital services.

Within THALES LAS OME, the Missile Electronics Sector designs and develops equipment for missiles intended for major installations (RAFALE fighter aircraft, ships, land systems, etc.) as well as sophisticated test equipment adapted to these components.

The performance of this high-tech equipment is essential for the success of operational missions and for deterrence.

We offer you the opportunity to participate in the creation of innovative products, whether on-board or not.

You will join the project delivery management team (consisting of 20 people) as an Engineering Work Package Manager (EWPM) to supervise the development of the "calculator" sub-assembly, the system core on one of the sector's most significant missile electronics projects.

Responsibilities

As such, you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring the management and planning of engineering activities on the sub-assembly to meet cost, deadline, and risk commitments.
• Ensuring the overall consistency of development and compliance with requirements
• Managing and coordinating the internal team of the sub-assembly and coordinating with other members of the project delivery team
• Developing, monitoring, and analyzing technical progress indicators for activities within your scope, performing root cause analysis of difficulties encountered, and driving associated corrective actions
• Identifying the skills and resources required to achieve objectives
• Guaranteeing the application of engineering processes, practices, and tools

Your profile

With an engineering degree (Engineering school or university, Bac +5) focused on electronics, with possible knowledge in software engineering, you have experience in managing engineering activities or in systems engineering on complex projects. You have a good understanding of all the phases that make up a project and you are capable of committing to delivery while respecting deadlines, costs, quality, and performance objectives.

Your interpersonal skills, pragmatism, rigor, and curiosity will be essential to successfully carry out your mission. You know how to manage complexity and conflicts. You have oral and written communication skills: you know how to negotiate and convince.
