Role Overview
The Retail Sales Representative role is perfect for someone passionate about the beverage industry and eager to launch their sales career. You’ll be the face of Liquid Death in retail stores, responsible for building strong relationships with store managers, maximizing product placement, and driving sales growth. This role serves Denver, CO and is 100 % field‑based. It is a temporary contract position expected to continue through August 2026.
Responsibilities
- Acquire new accounts and drive point‑of‑distribution (POD) growth and velocity.
- Execute daily in‑store merchandising activities along a designated route, ensuring product placement and presentation standards.
- Ensure proper stock levels of Liquid Death and correct display.
- Rotate product using FIFO (first‑in, first‑out) to prevent expiration.
- Identify dented, dirty, damaged, or out‑of‑code product and remove it from shelves, displays, or cold vaults.
- Maintain compliance of product placement across chain and independent stores.
- Keep all point‑of‑sale materials, fridges, and racks presentable and up‑to‑date per company standards.
- Notify internal stakeholders of damaged, dented, or out‑of‑code product and out‑of‑stock items for pickup or exchange.
- Communicate store‑level opportunities to key stakeholders.
- Manage sales, execution, and inventory of Liquid Death in the top 200 key retail accounts in the designated territory.
- Conduct 10–15 account visits per day.
- Support crew drives with distributors and blitzes for surrounding markets.
- Use a personal vehicle for travel; a company Vehicle Program is available to cover business‑related vehicle expenses.
- Work early mornings (7 am start) and afternoons, with the ability to work weekends.
Education & Experience
- Minimum 1 year of relatable field sales or merchandising experience within the beverage and distributor sales environment.
- Experience selling in diverse sales channels (preferred).
- Experience working with & influencing DSD, sales reps, and merchandiser teams (preferred).
- Experience with excellent in‑store selling standards (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Registered and reliable vehicle with insurance coverage.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Additional plus: previous merchandising experience in a similar field.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Self‑starter.
- Strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of the retail environment (a plus).
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand in store and sit in a vehicle for extended periods.
- Ability to carry equipment and product up to 50 lb.
- Willingness to start work at 7 am.
- Willing to travel up to approximately 30 mi from home.
Additional Details
- Reports To: Sales Execution Manager
- Travel Requirement: 100 % field‑based travel
- Location / Sales Territory: Remote, field‑based in Denver, Colorado (candidates must be based in Denver, CO).
- Schedule: Monday‑Friday, 7 am start time.
- Compensation: Temporary contract through a third‑party agency; $19 – $21.50 / hour plus monthly bonus potential.

Requirements
- Minimum of 1 years of previous relatable field sales or merchandising experience within the Beverage and Distributor Sales Environment required
- Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
- Registered and reliable vehicle with insurance coverage
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Responsibilities
- Responsible for and KPI’d off of new account acquisition including point of distribution growth & velocity growth
- Demonstrate strong sales capabilities by working with our convenience store partners to have best performing products ready and available for purchase
- Ensure proper levels of Liquid Death be in stock and displayed correctly
- Responsible for rotating Liquid Death product to ensure it doesn't expire (First in, First Out)
- Identify dented, dirty, damaged, or out of code product and pull it from the shelf, display, or cold vault
- Ensure products are placed in compliance across chain and independent stores
- Guarantee all Point of Sale, fridges, and racks are presentable, up-to-date, and presented by company standards
- Notify internal stakeholders for pick up or exchange of any damaged, dented, or out of code product along with out of stock items
- Communicate with key stakeholders opportunities at store level
- Responsible for the sales, execution and inventory of Liquid Death in top 200 key retail accounts in designated territory
- Conduct 10 -15 account visits per day
