Position Details
The SAP Business Analyst (TM) at Stella-Jones is responsible for analyzing, validating, and documenting the business requirements, acting as a bridge between IT and the business expert (BE), ensuring that the needs from the business are effectively communicated and translated into comprehensive requirements. Additionally, the Business Analyst will guide our BE and stakeholders through each step of the rollout project.
This Business Analyst role is essential to our ongoing roll‑out of SAP across the company and the transition to our own newly created SAP Centers of Excellence. This position offers the unique opportunity to own and manage the logistics/transport solution, ensuring continuous process improvements, training programs, and the evolution of the module are in line with new business requirements. Our SAP portfolio runs on the latest technology, SAP S4/HANA on RISE, providing an exciting and innovative work environment. This role reports to our Director of Business Applications and will be hybrid (in‑office with some remote work).
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Solution Design
- Conduct business analysis activities with a focus on the SAP TM module.
- Participate in defining and documenting business requirements and processes aligned with SAP best practices.
- Translate business requirements into accurate system specifications.
- Analyze new projects and internal client requests, providing recommendations for effective solutions.
- Design procedures and processes based on SAP best practices to streamline operations.
- Provide expertise in SAP TM Road & Rail solutions to guide implementation and optimization.
- Ensure optimization and seamless integration of solutions with other streams and functions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define appropriate security profiles required for task performance.
SAP Configuration, Implementation & Documentation
- Adapt to shifting responsibilities from business analysis to system configuration depending on the nature of each project.
- Analyze system user requirements and perform configuration as needed.
- Document system configuration, enhancements, and modifications.
- Support the ongoing rollout of SAP S4/HANA within the organization.
Support, Governance & Continuous Improvement
- Provide ongoing application support, including participation in the escalation of incidents analyzed by Level 1 and Level 2 support.
- Collaborate with Application Management Services (AMS) teams and partners to support maintenance and continuous improvement activities.
- Provide support and maintenance for non‑SAP applications/systems as needed.
- Participate in creating and enforcing IT software standards, operating procedures, and policies.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of related experience, including significant SAP TM experience required
- Proficient speaking and writing English
- Deep understanding of SAP S4/HANA modules, business analysis techniques, and system configuration.
- Ability to analyze business requirements, system functionalities, and propose effective solutions.
- Clear and concise communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and document processes.
- Experience in prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Strong problem‑solving skills to address complex issues and optimize system performance.
- Work effectively with cross‑functional teams, AMS partners, and stakeholders to achieve project goals.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.

Responsabilités principales
Analyse d’affaires et conception de solutions
- Réaliser des activités d’analyse d’affaires avec un accent sur le module SAP TM.
- Participer à la définition et à la documentation des besoins et des processus d’affaires en conformité avec les meilleures pratiques SAP.
- Traduire les besoins d’affaires en spécifications fonctionnelles et système précises.
- Analyser les nouveaux projets et les demandes des clients internes, et formuler des recommandations de solutions efficaces.
- Concevoir des procédures et des processus basés sur les meilleures pratiques SAP afin d’optimiser les opérations.
- Fournir une expertise sur les solutions SAP TM (transport routier et ferroviaire) afin de soutenir la mise en œuvre et l’optimisation.
- Assurer l’optimisation et l’intégration harmonieuse des solutions avec les autres domaines et fonctions.
- Collaborer avec les parties prenantes afin de définir les profils de sécurité appropriés pour l’exécution des tâches.
Configuration SAP, implantation et documentation
- S’adapter à l’évolution des responsabilités, de l’analyse d’affaires vers la configuration du système, selon la nature des projets.
- Analyser les besoins des utilisateurs et effectuer la configuration du système lorsque requis.
- Documenter les configurations, les améliorations et les modifications apportées au système.
- Soutenir le déploiement continu de SAP S/4HANA au sein de l’organisation.
Soutien, gouvernance et amélioration continue
- Fournir un soutien applicatif continu, incluant la participation à l’escalade et à la résolution des incidents analysés par les équipes de soutien de niveaux 1 et 2.
- Collaborer avec les équipes de services de gestion des applications (AMS) et les partenaires afin d’assurer la maintenance et les activités d’amélioration continue.

Qualifications (French)
- Minimum de cinq (5) années d’expérience pertinente, incluant une expérience significative avec SAP TM.
- Excellente maîtrise de l’anglais, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit.
- Solide compréhension des modules SAP S/4HANA, des techniques d’analyse d’affaires et de la configuration des systèmes.
- Capacité à analyser les besoins d’affaires et les fonctionnalités du système, et à proposer des solutions efficaces.
- Excellentes aptitudes en communication, avec la capacité de collaborer avec les parties prenantes et de documenter les processus de façon claire et structurée.
