SDL Integration Engineer – 5G Core & Cloud

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced SDL Integration Engineer to support the deployment and integration of Nokia Service Delivery Layer (SDL) within a 5G Core network environment . The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cloud networking, Kubernetes , and 5G core architecture , along with hands-on experience in deploying and integrating telecom applications. This role involves end-to-end ownership of installation, validation, troubleshooting, and system integration activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support SDL deployment and integration activities within the 5G Core network.
• Prepare and document Method of Procedures (MOPs) and deployment artifacts for application installations.
• Validate cloud infrastructure readiness , including images, flavors, networking, and resource configurations.
• Perform installation and deployment of SDL-based applications in cloud-native environments.
• Execute rollback procedures in case of failed installations as per defined MOPs.
• Conduct detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for deployment or integration failures and document findings.
• Perform post-installation health checks to ensure system stability and application performance.
• Integrate deployed applications with peer network nodes as per design and deployment guidelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, and customer stakeholders) to resolve issues efficiently.
• Ensure all activities align with network architecture, deployment plans, and operational standards.

Required Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of 5G Core Network Architecture and call flows .
• Hands-on experience with cloud networking concepts and infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes (K8s) and containerized deployments.
• Extensive experience with Nokia SDL (Service Delivery Layer) deployment and integration.
• Experience in creating and executing MOPs and deployment procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and experience performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) .
• Familiarity with telecom-grade deployment and integration practices.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, customer-focused environment .

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with telecom operators or network vendors .
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
• Exposure to virtualization technologies (OpenStack, VMware, etc.).
• Experience with network function virtualization (NFV) and cloud-native telecom applications.
