The ideal candidate will be a proactive cybersecurity professional with strong experience across Microsoft 365 and Azure security tools. You’re confident monitoring, detecting and responding to threats, while continuously improving security posture through vulnerability management, patching and secure score optimisation.

Nostra has offices in Dublin, Galway, Cork and Belfast. This role will be based fully on-site with one of customers based in Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin.

Responsibilities

  • Security monitoring: Utilise ICT security tools and software to monitor the clients network for anomalies, analyse, detect, and respond to threats.
  • Responsible for monitoring and enhancing the clients’ Microsoft Secure score, analysing security recommendations, and liaising with the clients ICT management on the prioritisation of actions based on the risk and impact to the organisation.
  • Monitor firewall and system logs and alerts to detect and respond to security threats and suspicious activities in a timely manner.
  • Stay up to date with the latest development in Microsoft 365 and Azure security features, tools and best practices to proactively identify opportunities for enhancement.
  • In collaboration with ICT helpdesk, ensure the integrity of high availability network infrastructures to provide maximum performance for their users.
  • Incident response: In close work with the clients ICT service desk team, respond to and resolve cybersecurity incidents reports by end-users or detected by security monitoring tools.
  • Vulnerability management: Proactively lead on identifying, assessing, reporting on, and managing vulnerabilities across the clients’ network including completion of vulnerability assessment and penetration testing activities.
  • Patch management: Assist in the implementation of security patches and updates on systems and applications to mitigate vulnerabilities.
  • Lead on the activities required to ensure the timely review and implementation of any security issues/updates required to the clients ICT infrastructure and devices, resulting from issues identified in penetration testing, internal or external audit, security score or other such reviews.
  • Support ICT management in review and optimisation of available Microsoft Governance and compliance features.
  • Policy development: Support the clients ICT in maintaining appropriate policies, procedures and guidelines to deliver a high standard of information technology security governance, reflecting industry best practice and emerging issues.
  • Security awareness: Work with the clients ICT staff to ensure end-users are educated on cybersecurity best practices and compliance with the clients ICT security policies and other specific regulations e.g. GDPR.
