Security Engineer

About

We are looking for a dedicated Security Engineer to design our Microsoft 365 and Azure environments securely, stably, and future-proof. You will have the opportunity to contribute your ideas and make a real difference in an open team to take our cloud security to the next level.

Responsibilities

• Further development of our security architecture in Microsoft 365 and Azure, tracking relevant cyber security developments, and contributing your own ideas.
• Monitoring of cloud workloads and deployment of suitable Microsoft security tools for optimal protection.
• Management of identities and access rights in Entra ID, including Conditional Access and MFA.
• Analysis of incidents, support of incident response, and root cause analysis of security-relevant events.
• Further development of security policies and maintenance of (ISO27001) documentation.
• Conducting risk analyses, identifying potential for improvement, and supporting audits.
• Advising colleagues on projects for the integration of security from the outset.
• Close collaboration with compliance/data protection, IT, and IT architecture to develop joint solutions.

Requirements

• Completed degree in computer science (business or technical) or comparable training with several years of experience in IT and cloud security.
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft 365 Security (Security & Compliance Center, Defender for Office 365).
• Experience with Azure Security Center, Azure AD / Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, and Zero Trust concepts.
• Practical experience with PowerShell, Terraform, or Azure CLI for managing and automating cloud environments.
• Good understanding of network security, modern authentication, and identity protection.
• Ideally, initial experience in the Open Telekom Cloud environment.
