About the role
A Day in the Life:
Join Hertz's External Financial Reporting team, where you will play a vital role in the preparation and filing of periodic and annual reports to the Securities and Exchange Commission (10-Q's/10-K's). This team also handles the preparation and validation of essential ad hoc reports like 8-K's, offering memorandums, and registration statements. As a Senior Accountant - SEC Reporting Specialist, you will directly contribute to these critical reporting functions.
We anticipate a starting salary around $95,000, with the final amount determined based on your relevant experience.
What You'll Do:
- Prepare schedules and disclosures for quarterly and annual financial statements, including footnotes and Management's Discussion & Analysis.
- Ensure financial data ties out to supporting documentation.
- Complete GAAP and SEC reporting checklists.
- Maintain compliance with SOX controls over financial reporting.
- Review XBRL related to the company's filings.
- Conduct compliance research and document findings.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- CPA or CPA eligible.
- 3 years of public accounting experience or 4-6 years of industry accounting experience.
- Direct experience with SEC reporting.
- Familiarity with Oracle and Workiva.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and a self-motivated team player with great relationship-building skills.
- Efficient communicator with strong time management abilities.
- Capacity to work independently and troubleshoot effectively.
- A sense of urgency and capability to handle multiple concurrent deadlines.
- Ability to deliver timely, accurate, and thorough work products.
