A Day in the Life:

Join Hertz's External Financial Reporting team, which plays a vital role in preparing and filing all periodic and annual reports to the Securities and Exchange Commission (10-Q's/10-K's). This team is also tasked with creating and validating important ad hoc reports such as 8-K's, offering memorandums, and registration statements. As a Senior SEC Financial Reporting Accountant, you will be instrumental in executing various elements of this critical reporting process. The expected salary range for this position is between $95,000 and $115,000, with the final salary based on your relevant experience.

What You'll Do:

  • Prepare schedules and disclosures for quarterly and annual financial statements, footnotes, Management's Discussion & Analysis, and other required reports.
  • Ensure financial data aligns perfectly with supporting documentation.
  • Complete GAAP and SEC reporting checklists to ensure compliance.
  • Adhere to SOX controls for financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
  • Review XBRL tags associated with the company’s filings to maintain proper reporting standards.
  • Conduct compliance research and produce thorough documentation as required.
  • Engage in special projects as they arise, providing valuable insights and support.

What We're Looking For:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting/Finance is required.
  • CPA or CPA eligibility is preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in public accounting or 4-6 years in industry accounting.
  • Experience with SEC reporting is essential.
  • Familiarity with Oracle and Workiva is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and self-motivated team player with strong relationship-building skills across departments.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage time efficiently.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently.
  • A sense of urgency and capability to thrive under multiple concurrent deadlines.
