Your Responsibilities

• Planning, building, and operating scalable Kubernetes clusters with GPU support as the foundation for an AI service platform.
• Optimizing cluster resources for AI/ML workloads (scheduling, GPU management, scaling).
• Conceiving, implementing, and reviewing security policies.
• Developing and implementing an update, patch, and recovery strategy.
• Implementing and operating monitoring and observability solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
• Collaborating closely in an agile, interdisciplinary team of data scientists, ML/AI engineers, and fullstack software developers.
• Supporting and mentoring the development team on questions regarding deployment, operation, and efficient use of Kubernetes.

Your Profile

• Completed Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of practical experience after graduation in operating container and virtualization environments with a focus on Kubernetes (ideally for on-premises or hybrid cloud).
• In-depth knowledge of network and security concepts in the context of Kubernetes and experience implementing security policies.
• Experience with the deployment and administration of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, Tekton, ArgoCD).
• Good understanding of DevOps principles and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Desirable: Knowledge in developing and customizing Kubernetes operators, experience with MLOps technologies (Kubeflow, MLflow, vLLM, NVIDIA Triton, DeepSpeed), and knowledge in administering SQL, NoSQL, and vector databases.
• Fluent German and very good English skills, both written and spoken, are mandatory.
