Our client, a leading research institute in AI and emerging technologies, is looking to strengthen its team in Bregenz, Vorarlberg, with a highly qualified Senior AI/ML Engineer (m/f/d) specializing in Deep Learning. In this exciting position, you will be instrumental in the development and implementation of advanced machine learning models and algorithms that solve real-world problems.

Responsibilities

• Design, development, and training of deep learning models for various applications, including computer vision, natural language processing, and predictive analytics.
• Data preparation, feature engineering, and model validation to optimize performance and accuracy.
• Conducting experiments, analyzing results, and documenting research progress.
• Implementation and scaling of AI solutions in production environments.
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams of researchers, software developers, and subject matter experts to develop innovative AI products and services.
• Identification of new research opportunities and continuous improvement of existing algorithms.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Proficiency in deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
• Proficiency in at least one common programming language (Python is essential, C++ is advantageous).
• Practical experience in applying machine learning techniques to complex datasets.
• Ability to apply complex mathematical and statistical concepts.
• Ideally, experience in deploying ML models in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and handling large datasets.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and ability to find creative solutions for complex technical challenges.
• Very good communication skills in German and English are essential for collaboration within the international research team.
