About the role
Our client is seeking an innovative and experienced Senior AI/ML Engineer to join their cutting-edge, fully remote technology team. This role is at the forefront of developing and deploying advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions to solve complex business challenges. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in computer science, statistics, and machine learning algorithms, coupled with hands-on experience in building and scaling ML models. You will be responsible for the entire ML lifecycle, from data preprocessing and model development to deployment and monitoring. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement state-of-the-art machine learning models and algorithms. Perform data mining, feature engineering, and data preprocessing for various datasets. Build and train ML models using frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn. Deploy ML models into production environments, ensuring scalability and performance. Develop and maintain robust data pipelines for ML model training and inference. Monitor model performance in production and implement retraining strategies as needed. Collaborate with software engineers and product managers to integrate AI/ML solutions into products and services. Conduct research on new AI/ML techniques and technologies to identify potential applications. Document ML models, experiments, and code thoroughly. Stay up-to-date with the latest research and industry trends in AI and machine learning. Qualifications: Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related quantitative field. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in AI/ML engineering or data science. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala. Hands-on experience with major ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, scikit-learn). Strong understanding of various ML algorithms (e.g., deep learning, NLP, computer vision, reinforcement learning). Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps tools. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities for a remote team environment. Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) is a plus. A passion for pushing the boundaries of AI and machine learning. This role is based in Umuahia, Abia, NG , but is offered as a fully remote position.
