Overview

The Senior Application Architect plays a crucial role in enhancing our Information Technology capabilities by designing cutting-edge solutions and validating technology architectures for key upcoming projects. This position focuses on analyzing existing systems, exploring opportunities for AI-driven innovation, and recommending enhancements to optimize business operations and deliver measurable value.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal teams and contractors to assess existing systems, processes, and workflows to pinpoint improvement opportunities.
• Ensure smooth integration of new solutions with current systems, platforms, and infrastructure.
• Support the design of architecture and frameworks that meet both business and technical needs.
• Provide strategic advice on AI adoption, identifying relevant use cases, tools, and enabling technologies.
• Suggest enhancements for existing systems and propose AI capabilities where applicable.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, developers, and project managers to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Offer technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, ensuring compliance with architectural best practices and standards.
• Act as a bridge between technical teams and business units to maintain alignment on goals, priorities, and deliverables.
• Validate architectural designs for new projects, confirming they meet performance, scalability, and security benchmarks.
• Lead proof-of-concept initiatives to explore emerging technologies, including AI models and AWS services.
• Clearly communicate complex AI concepts and architectural decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
• Monitor system performance, striving for continuous optimization in accuracy, efficiency, and reliability.
• Proactively suggest enhancements to systems and processes that drive operational efficiency and increase business value.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in AI technologies and industry trends to inform solution recommendations.

Essential Skills

• Proven expertise in designing and architecting solutions on platforms like AWS, Appian, Salesforce, and ServiceNow.
• Strong cloud architecture proficiency, particularly in AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, and API Gateway.
• Experience in developing applications using Java, Python, R, and working with relational databases.
• Robust understanding of application design, data engineering, and data modeling principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a knack for transforming business challenges into effective, AI-enabled solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for engaging in cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications & Experience

• At least 10 years of experience in the design, architecture, and implementation of enterprise applications.
• Experience with designing and implementing solutions that utilize AI technologies.
• Knowledge of ethical AI principles and responsible AI practices.
• A deep understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Able to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Education

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.

Position Details

• Pay Rate / Range: $80‑$100/hr
  The above salary range represents the expected pay for the position; however, final offers will be based on factors including the position's responsibilities, the candidate's experience, education, location, and market conditions.
