Senior Backend Java Developer – FIX Protocol / Electronic Trading

About

We are looking for a strong Backend Java Developer with hands-on experience in FIX Protocol and Electronic Trading platforms. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in designing and developing high-performance, scalable backend systems for capital markets or trading environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend applications using Core Java / J2EE
• Build scalable microservices using Spring Boot / Spring Framework
• Work extensively with FIX Protocol integration for electronic trading systems
• Develop and support trading workflows such as order routing, execution, market connectivity, and pricing
• Optimize systems for low latency, high throughput, and reliability
• Work with multithreading, concurrency, and performance tuning
• Develop REST APIs and backend services
• Collaborate with traders, QA teams, business analysts, and DevOps teams
• Participate in production support and troubleshooting for critical trading applications

Required Skills

• Expertise in Core Java, Collections, Multithreading, Concurrency
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices
• Must have experience with FIX Protocol
• Experience in Electronic Trading / Capital Markets / Equities / Derivatives
• Strong SQL skills with Oracle / SQL Server / PostgreSQL
• Experience with messaging tools like Kafka / MQ / JMS
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix environment
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with low latency systems
• Knowledge of OMS / EMS platforms
• Cloud exposure (AWS / Azure)
• CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab
