About the role

Job Overview:

Join our team as a Senior CyberArk Engineer dedicated to enhancing the Department of Transportation's privileged access management program. In this pivotal position, you will be instrumental in the deployment, maintenance, and reporting of CyberArk solutions across various environments.

Your Role:

  • Lead the deployment and configuration of CyberArk, ensuring its seamless operation across development, test, and production environments.
  • Oversee the management and support of roles, safes, policies, and onboarding processes within CyberArk.
  • Implement timely software updates, patching, and lifecycle management for CyberArk components and vault appliances, ensuring compliance and security.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance PAM performance, availability, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Identify and address security vulnerabilities associated with privileged access management.
  • Provide expert onsite troubleshooting and incident remediation for PAM-related challenges.
  • Generate and improve performance, security, and compliance reports in line with DHS CISA requirements.
  • Assist in annual disaster recovery testing, developing and maintaining comprehensive recovery and contingency plans.
  • Follow established change management protocols and engage in pilot programs and proof of concepts to advance PAM initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in business solutions engineering, including architecture, design, and documentation.
  • Hands-on expertise in translating functional requirements into technical specifications and evaluating technology alternatives.
  • Strong written communication skills with experience in research and providing evaluation recommendations.
  • Current CyberArk Sentry certification and a proven track record in managing privileged accounts.
  • Minimum of 1 year implementing CyberArk lifecycle processes at an enterprise scale.
  • At least 3 years of server administration experience on Windows Server 2019 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.
  • Preferred: Proficiency in integrating CyberArk with SailPoint.
  • Extensive experience with Active Directory, including account management, Group Policy, and PKI, along with PowerShell automation.
  • Knowledge of database management with SQL Server 2019 covering backups, indexing, and maintenance.

Education Requirements:

  • CyberArk Sentry certification.
  • Eligibility for DOT Public Trust as required by program specifications.

Note: Applicants must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident with an active Public Trust clearance. This opportunity is a contract-to-hire role, and applicants must be available to work on a W2 basis with the potential to transition to full-time employment.
