Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a cybersecurity setting
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
- Security+ or an equivalent DoD 8570 baseline certification
- Must possess an existing and active DOD Secret security clearance and be TS/SCI eligible
- Proven experience with PKI concepts, certificate management, and TLS/SSL protocols
- Strong knowledge of TLS 1.2/1.3 protocols, cipher suites, and cryptographic principles
- Familiarity with certificate authorities, certificate signing requests (CSRs), and certificate chains
- Proficient in F5 BIG-IP administration, including LTM, APM, and AFM modules
- Understanding of iRules, iApps, and F5 automation features
- Certifications: F5 Certified Administrator (F5-CA) or higher
Responsibilities
- Configure and manage F5 SSL Orchestrator solutions for TLS/SSL decryption and re-encryption
- Develop and oversee SSLO security policies, service chains, and traffic classification rules
- Create and test new configurations to enhance SSLO capabilities and performance in high-volume settings
- Integrate SSLO with existing routing, switching, and security inspection systems
- Set up and manage service chains for effective traffic examination
- Work with security operations teams to ensure visibility into decrypted traffic
- Create and sustain iRules for tailored traffic handling and logging needs
- Troubleshoot complex TLS/SSL issues, including cipher compatibility and protocol negotiations
- Monitor system performance, health metrics, and assist in capacity planning
- Generate and maintain technical documentation, network schematics, test reports, and standard operating procedures
- Assist with security compliance and audit requirements
- Develop playbooks for routine operational tasks and incident response
