At Judge Group, Inc. we are looking for a Security engineer!

We are seeking a skilled Security Engineer IV to join our team in Reston, VA, with a negotiable salary. Our preferred working model is hybrid, requiring in-office attendance twice a week, but we are flexible with a fully remote option. As part of our team, you will engage in meaningful work addressing cybersecurity vulnerabilities, and we value detail-oriented, accountable individuals who can deliver with urgency. Responsibilities

• Research and analyze cybersecurity vulnerabilities identified by security scanners or personnel
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of vulnerabilities and their impact on applications or systems
• Develop mitigation strategies for application and system owners
• Liaise with owners to ensure timely resolution of identified vulnerabilities
• Create proofs of concept for exploiting vulnerabilities and perform tests to validate these vulnerabilities
• Write scripts and SQL statements as part of the security engineering process

Requirements

• Bachelors degree or four years of relevant work experience
• Capacity to work autonomously with minimal oversight
• Strong analytical abilities for interpreting vulnerability data
• Experience in cybersecurity compliance and vulnerability management
• Familiarity with a variety of application and vulnerability security tools including SAST, DAST, port scans, and open-source scans
• Background in application development and application security
• Comprehensive understanding of vulnerabilities across multiple platforms and systems
• In-depth knowledge of Linux and Windows vulnerabilities
• Awareness of the cybersecurity domain
• CISSP or similar certifications are advantageous
• Experience with cybersecurity concepts like asset management and authentication is a plus
• Practical experience with vulnerability management tools and application scanning tools
• Proven analytical skills with the ability to aggregate and analyze data to formulate recommendations
• Strong technical and cybersecurity expertise
