- Pay Rate: Starting from $92 per hour

Job Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable data governance frameworks to ensure data integrity, quality, privacy, and accessibility across cloud-based data platforms
- Build, operationalize, and automate data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks, ensuring performance, reliability, and alignment with business requirements
- Develop and maintain metadata management and cataloging solutions, leveraging Databricks Unity Catalog, Informatica CDGC, and other governance tools to improve data discoverability and transparency
- Engineer and enforce data quality controls and monitoring systems, ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements
- Advance and maintain end to end data lineage using governance tools to provide full transparency across the data ecosystem
- Implement role-based access control (RBAC), data masking, and privacy controls across cloud and analytics environments
- Conduct performance analysis, optimization, and capacity planning for large-scale data processing workloads
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by adopting industry best practices and emerging technologies in data governance and data engineering
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional and global teams to align data initiatives with enterprise strategy
- Operate within Agile/Scrum methodologies using collaboration tools like Teams, JIRA, and Mural
- Support production release cycles and operational support, ensuring platform stability
- Collaborate with the Data Steward to mobilize data quality lifecycle including but not limited to collecting business requirements, applying technical rules, and aid in remediation plan
Experience & Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in similar data-focused roles
- Strong expertise in Azure cloud services
- Hands-on experience with Databricks Unity Catalog for governance, lineage, and security management
- Experience with Informatica CDGC for metadata management and lineage
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python
- Familiarity with Java or Scala for distributed data processing
- Solid understanding of data warehousing, relational data modeling, ETL/ELT development, and cloud-native data engineering patterns
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines for automating data workflows
- Familiarity with Power BI for building dashboards, data models, and supporting business intelligence use cases
- Strong understanding of data security practices, including RBAC, encryption, and data masking
- Experience with automation and scripting using Python, PowerShell, or similar tools
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and solution design capabilities
- Commitment to continuous learning and process improvement
- Familiarity with production release processes and operational support models
