Senior Data & Machine Learning Engineer

Your role in the team

• You build the bridge between massive data sets, Zero-Shot Intelligence, and our App/Agent Serving Layer.
• Design and optimization of agentic architectures and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) for our AI assistant askMIGO.
• Development and maintenance of serverless AI services for text classification, sentiment analysis, and summarization at scale.
• Close collaboration with the rest of the "Platform" team to ensure that our high-performance pipelines deliver models with validated, high-quality data in milliseconds.
• Implementation of automated testing and validation procedures for AI outputs to guarantee our principle "Data integrity is inviolable."

Qualifications

• You are familiar with state-of-the-art architectures such as Data Lakehouses (Iceberg/Delta) or Data Mesh principles.
• You consider ML as an engineering discipline and value version control, testing, as well as clean, declarative code (Dataform/dbt).
• You find the balance between cutting-edge technologies and delivering added value.
• You want to be part of the local tech community in Mainz/Rhine-Main and work personally with a high-caliber team.

Experience

• You have extensive experience in the fields of NLP, LLMs, and building production-ready AI services.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud (Vertex AI, BigQuery) and serverless environments (Cloud Functions/Run).
