Brief Role Description
The Senior Data Scientist - Energy Services shall be responsible for supporting the development of analytical capabilities to quantify marginal costs and associated predictive analytics for Electrify America’s network, as well as for Electrify Canada and Electrify Commercial customers as applicable. The Senior Energy Data Scientist will work closely with the Director of Energy Services to ensure that all relevant KPIs are properly tracked, measured, reported, and achieved.
Role Responsibilities
Main responsibility - 40%
- Support the development of analytical capability to quantify the marginal cost of every session incurred on Electrify America’s network via extensive analysis of utility tariffs for over 250 utilities and over 1000 associated charging locations.
- Support framework development to account for related wholesale energy market parameters, including hourly rates, critical event pricing, and nodal pricing.

- Support the implementation of predictive analytics for marginal utility cost.

- Quantity financial savings on an ongoing basis for Electrify America, Electrify Canada, and Commercial Customers

Qualification requirements
- Years of Relevant Experience: 7+ Years of Experience
- Education Required: Bachelor of Science in Data Science / Analytics / Computer Science
- Education Desired: Master's in Data Science / Analytics / Computer Science
- Travel Required: up to 10%
