(Senior) Data Scientist (m/w/d) - Machineseeker Group

About Us

The Machineseeker Group operates the leading network for used machinery in Europe with various online marketplaces. More than 12,000 providers, over 250,000 machines, over 15 million monthly visitors!

Responsibilities

• You will conduct in-depth analyses of our data set, grown over 25 years, and develop machine learning models to make our products smarter and improve business understanding.
• You will construct dynamic pricing models to estimate the fair market value of machines based on condition, brand, age, and supply and demand.
• You will create recommendation systems that suggest similar or complementary machines to buyers – based on their browsing behavior or the characteristics of listings.
• You will become THE point of contact for Data & AI within the company and support IT, Marketing, and Product with A/B tests and experiments.

Requirements

• You have a completed degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or similar, with (very) good grades.
• Ideally, you have at least 3 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Scientist, or Engineer and have already gained practical experience with data science projects.
• Ideally, you have expertise in the conception, training, and deployment of machine learning models.
• You possess very good SQL skills and experience with one or more analytical programming languages (e.g., Python or R).

Team

You will support our IT team of 11 people, who focus on various areas.
