Role
The Senior Specialist Project Transactions plays a pivotal role in the day to accounting and controlling of projects as well as the associated accounts payable, capital expenditures, and accounts receivable transactions. This position requires a detail‑oriented partner to assist the project controlling team in ensuring accurate and timely accounting, financial reporting, and compliance with accounting standards.
Responsibilities
- Timely processing of client and vendor invoices while ensuring compliance with the company policies and procedures
- Participating in conversations with project managers and FP&A team in matters relating to project budgets and expenditures
- Ensuring that all capital projects are properly documented and accounted for in accordance with company policy
- Performing the monthly closing activities
- Collecting accounts receivable balances from customers and minimize outstanding receivables
- Preparing financial statements under local GAAP and/or IFRS
- Accounting for prepayments, accruals, and financing activities
- Continuously improving internal reports and analysis to enable management to understand key events and trends in CAPEX and expenses
- Monitoring and analysing expenses to identify cost‑saving opportunities and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints
Requirements
Who are we looking for
- Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CPA) is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent qualification
- 5 years experience in accounting transactions and operations with at least 2 in a senior role
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently
- Ability to work cooperatively with others in a team environment
- Self‑starter with solid organizational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
- Experience working in a multinational company would be a plus
- Proficient with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI
- Knowledge of Dynamics 365 would be a plus
