Our client, a rapidly expanding conglomerate, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join their esteemed finance department based in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti, NG. This critical role will be responsible for providing in-depth financial analysis, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial principles, excellent analytical abilities, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and financial modeling to support business planning and performance evaluation.
• Prepare detailed financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for senior management, highlighting key financial insights and recommendations.
• Assist in the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, working closely with department heads to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
• Perform financial due diligence for potential investments, mergers, and acquisitions.
• Monitor key financial metrics and KPIs, identifying potential risks and opportunities, and proposing strategies to enhance profitability and financial health.
• Develop and maintain financial models for various scenarios, including long-range planning and strategic initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to reconcile financial statements and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance function and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Support ad-hoc financial analysis requests from various business units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Professional certifications such as CFA or ACCA are highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or a related role.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex financial modeling, pivot tables, and data analysis functions.
• Experience with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) software and ERP systems.
• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, financial statements, and valuation methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
