The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Product Finance team is looking for a talented and experienced financial analyst to support our evolving cloud offerings. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with finance leadership, product development, engineering, and sales teams to build insightful financial models. The work involves analyzing imperfect data and addressing ambiguous challenges to meet the requirements of our customers and sales strategies.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and refine comprehensive cost and profitability models for cloud hardware products integral to customer and partner deals.
- Conduct thorough analysis of hardware, supply chain, and operational cost factors to deliver precise pricing and margin insights.
- Engage with various organizational teams to enhance your understanding of different products, data center configurations, and networking structures.
- Collaborate with senior leadership, sales, and product groups to provide pricing insights and financial strategies for intricate deals.
- Simplify complex financial analyses into clear, actionable insights tailored for executive-level discussions.
- Review inputs meticulously, validate assumptions, and ensure financial models are accurate and audit-ready.
- Pinpoint potential risks, sensitivities, and trade‑offs in deal structures, articulating the implications effectively.
- Take ownership of analytical outcomes, promptly identifying and rectifying errors or assumptions as necessary.
- Influence cross‑functional teams without direct authority to achieve business objectives and goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, or related discipline; MBA is a plus.
- 8+ years of product finance, deal desk, or pricing analysis experience showing progressive advancement.
- Experience in cloud computing, hardware, infrastructure, or finance roles related to technology.
- Familiarity with extensive commercial deals or long‑term pricing structures is advantageous.
- Knowledge of cost accounting, supply chain economics, or capital‑intensive products.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with sales, engineering, or product teams.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities, particularly advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, large datasets, scenario modeling).
- Expertise in creating cost and pricing models, or performing deal‑related financial analyses.
- Exceptional attention to detail, consistently producing accurate work under tight deadlines.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, particularly with senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated accountability and ownership mindset for results and proactive communication during challenges.
