Our client is a leading cybersecurity firm seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Information Security Analyst with a strong focus on cloud environments. This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work with a dynamic, international team. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and maintaining robust security measures across our cloud infrastructure, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our client's data and systems. You will play a critical role in threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and security architecture design for cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage cloud security solutions and controls (e.g., IAM, network security groups, WAFs, encryption).
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans of cloud environments, analyzing results and developing remediation plans.
- Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures relevant to cloud computing.
- Lead incident response efforts for cloud-based security incidents, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Monitor security alerts and logs from various cloud security tools and SIEM systems to identify potential threats.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security best practices into the CI/CD pipeline (DevSecOps).
- Stay abreast of the latest cloud security threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices.
- Provide security guidance and expertise to project teams on cloud adoption and migration strategies.
- Develop and deliver security awareness training for technical staff.
- Contribute to the overall information security strategy and roadmap for our client.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in information security, with at least 3 years focused on cloud security.
- Proven expertise with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their native security services.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).
- Experience with SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, EDR, and vulnerability management solutions.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
- Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, AWS Certified Security - Specialty) are highly desirable.
- This role is based in Yola, Adamawa, NG , but is offered as a fully remote position.
