For our client, an international technology company operating in high-performance engineering and real-time testing environments, we are looking for a Senior Infrastructure & Security Engineer to strengthen the Corporate IT team. The organization delivers innovative solutions across automotive, aerospace, energy, and industrial automation sectors, with a strong focus on secure, scalable, and modern IT infrastructure. Role Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for the operation, development, and security of a modern hybrid IT environment. You will work at the intersection of infrastructure engineering, cloud operations, and cybersecurity, ensuring stable and secure global IT services.

You will combine hands-on technical work with architectural responsibilities and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of Microsoft-based infrastructure and security platforms. Key Responsibilities • Operate and improve hybrid cloud and on-prem infrastructure based on Microsoft Azure and Azure Local HCI • Manage Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), storage systems, backup infrastructure, and workplace services • Administer Azure databases and enterprise backup solutions (e.g. Veeam) • Support infrastructure architecture decisions and platform modernization initiatives • Ensure scalability, resilience, and high availability of IT systems • Manage identity and access services with Microsoft Entra ID • Implement and enhance Zero Trust security models and least-privilege access concepts • Improve authentication methods and lifecycle management processes (Joiner/Mover/Leaver) • Operate Microsoft Defender XDR and Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM) • Monitor, analyze, and triage security alerts and incidents • Support incident response, investigation, containment, and remediation • Develop and optimize detection rules and security use cases • Improve security posture using Microsoft Secure Score • Support incident management and disaster recovery processes • Execute backup, recovery, and restoration procedures • Maintain immutable backup concepts and DR documentation • Participate in recovery testing and post-incident reviews • Support network and perimeter security including segmentation and secure connectivity • Ensure stable and secure global network operations • Drive automation and efficiency improvements using PowerShell and scripting • Contribute to continuous infrastructure optimization initiatives Your Profile • Several years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud engineering, or cybersecurity • Strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, virtualization, storage, and backup • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID and identity & access management • Solid understanding of Zero Trust architecture and modern security principles • Practical experience with Microsoft Defender XDR and Sentinel (SIEM) • Knowledge of incident response, security operations, and alert handling • Experience in disaster recovery, backup strategies, and system restoration • Good understanding of networking, segmentation, and perimeter security • Experience with PowerShell and infrastructure automation • Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset • Strong communication skills in English; German is a plus ( not mandatory)
