About
We are looking for an experienced IT Architect to join our Managed Services team. This person will play a key role in designing, optimizing, and evolving our clients’ technological environments. The Architect will act as a technical reference for both internal teams and clients, combining expertise, rigor, and a strong customer‑oriented mindset.
This position is ideal for someone who is resourceful, collaborative, and proactive, with an excellent understanding of cloud environments and operations within a managed services context.
Main Responsibilities
- Design and optimize complete IT architectures (servers, virtualization, cloud, network) tailored to client needs.
- Administer, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases.
- Manage and oversee Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Administer and optimize a Citrix infrastructure (Virtual Apps & Desktops): security, profiles, policies, monitoring, and performance optimization.
- Manage virtualized environments (VMware / Hyper‑V / XenServer).
- Define and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies (DRP/BCP).
- Actively participate in migration and modernization projects (cloud or hybrid).
- Ensure the security, stability, and performance of client systems.
- Act as a subject‑matter expert for internal IT teams, providing guidance in diagnostics, planning, and high‑level support.
- Produce and maintain technical and architectural documentation.
- Work closely with support and account management teams to ensure an excellent client experience.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of hands‑on experience working in a managed services environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
- 10 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of managed services operating models (MSP, DaaS, IaaS, etc.).
- Proficiency with the following environments:
- SQL Server
- Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops
- Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO
- Linux (RHEL / Debian / Ubuntu)
- SAN/NAS storage
- Backup solutions (Veeam or equivalent)
- Cloud (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Virtualization (VMware / Hyper‑V / Proxmox)
- Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and collaborative mindset.
- Strong customer service orientation and attention to quality.
- Bilingual (French / English), both spoken and written.
Assets
- Technical certifications: Citrix CCA‑V / CCP‑V, Microsoft, Azure, AWS, VMware, RHCE, ITIL.
- Experience in cybersecurity and network administration.
- Knowledge of automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
- Experience in an MSP or IT integrator environment.
