About the role

As a Senior IT & Network Security Engineer, your role will be to strengthen and secure the enterprise IT environment with a primary focus on cybersecurity and network security. You will also handle secure cloud environments in a technical, hands-on capacity without people-management or IT operations leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and maintain cybersecurity controls across enterprise IT, cloud, and network environments - Monitor, investigate, and respond to security incidents, alerts, and vulnerabilities across systems and networks - Act as an L2/L3 escalation point for complex cyber security, network security, and infrastructure issues - Design, configure, and manage secure network architectures, including VPNs, firewalls, routing, DNS, and access controls - Monitor network traffic and security events to detect anomalies, threats, and suspicious activity - Implement and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices across the organization - Perform vulnerability management, system hardening, and security patching across endpoints, servers, and cloud resources - Secure and manage Azure cloud environments, including identity, access control, and workload protection - Administer endpoint and device management solutions (Intune, ManageEngine Endpoint Central, Jamf) to ensure compliance and security posture - Ensure secure user, device, and access onboarding/offboarding across IT and cloud systems - Support security audits, risk assessments, and compliance initiatives, including documentation and evidence collection - Maintain comprehensive security documentation, including incident response plans, SOPs, configurations, and runbooks - Monitor system performance, availability, and security alerts, escalating issues as required - Support hybrid and remote-access security requirements while ensuring secure connectivity - Participate in 24x7 on-call rotations for security and critical IT incidents - Collaborate with IT, Infrastructure, Cloud, and Application teams to embed security into system design and operations - Support ITIL-aligned processes including Incident, Problem, and Change Management - Stay updated on emerging cyber threats, attack vectors, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies - Support IT asset management, software licensing, and compliance tracking from a security standpoint

Required Skills and Qualifications: - 5+ years of experience in Cyber Security, Network Security, IT Security, or Infrastructure Security roles - Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, routing) - Hands-on experience with enterprise cybersecurity practices and tools - Experience securing cloud environments (Azure preferred) - Experience with endpoint security and device management (Intune, ManageEngine Endpoint Central, Jamf) - Strong experience in cloud security for Azure and AWS environments - Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender (Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Cloud, Defender for Identity) - Experience managing and securing Azure Virtual Machines - Hands-on experience with Azure Sentinel (SIEM) - Strong knowledge of identity and access management (Azure AD, MFA, RBAC) - Experience handling L2/L3 security and network incidents - Ability to independently troubleshoot security, network, and system issues - Strong documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
