Senior IT Project Manager (m/f/d)

Your role in the team

• As a Senior IT Project Manager (m/f/d), you are responsible for the professional management of complex cloud and platform projects and serve as the central interface between client management and technical teams.

• Central contact person for project-specific inquiries.

• Support of management and steering committees at clients.

• Creation and presentation of status reports.

• Expectation management as well as escalation control at decision-maker level.

• Moderation of voting and decision-making processes between departments, IT, and other stakeholders.

• Holistic management of budget, resources, and risks in project and operational environments.

• Project controlling, forecasting, as well as change and scope management.

• End-to-End responsibility for requirements management and implementation.

• Translation of technical requirements into viable, technical concepts.

• Ensuring efficient, stable, and high-quality implementation.

• Technical management and support of project team members.

• Shielding technical consultants from administrative tasks.

• Ensuring transparent processes, clear roles, and responsibilities.

• Ensuring compliance with data protection, security, and compliance requirements.

• Responsibility for scalable and practical solutions.

• Establishment and optimization of project, operational, and governance structures.

• Preparation and support of handovers in operational organizations.

Our expectations:

Qualifications

• Understanding of cloud, infrastructure, or platform projects.

• Ideally, you have knowledge of IT-Grundschutz, C5, or comparable compliance frameworks.

• You possess a high level of organizational skills, strong structuring abilities, and economic thinking.

• You are confident in communication at management level.

• You are independent, customer-oriented, and enjoy working in a team.

• You are willing to travel within Germany for important client appointments (on average a maximum of 3 days per month).

• Willingness to undergo security clearance: Due to our collaboration with clients from the public sector, a security check (SÜ1 or SÜ2) according to SÜG may be required.

• Your very good German and English skills complete your profile.

Experience

• Several years of professional experience as a Project Manager in complex IT projects.

• Experience in the field of public administration and IT service providers.

• Experience in data center, platform, or application operations.

• Optional: Experience with public procurement or EVB-IT projects.

Education

• Degree or training in the field of IT.
