Brief Job Overview

The Information Technology Project Manager will plan, establish, and manage information technology (IT) projects and will serve as a liaison between the business and technical aspects of assigned projects. In this role, the IT Project Manager will be responsible for the administration of network and server infrastructure projects, planning & execution of technology projects, managing project management processes, implementing technology security, and the execution of all technology‑related tasks and initiatives. This role also has responsibility to establish and manage a service delivery framework across functions, including delivery governance and vendor performance management.

Responsibilities

  • 40 % – Initiate, Plan, Execute and Control assigned Projects.
  • 35 % – Service Delivery, Reporting, Project status updates, and Insights presentation.
  • 15 % – Vendor Management & Contracts management.
  • 10 % – New Projects discovery, business case preparation and documentation.

Additional duties:

  • Manage assigned IT projects to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.
  • Develop and maintain proposals for assigned projects including objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, timelines, funding, and staffing.
  • Introduce project management principles and best practices; implement global processes within India projects and facilitate a structured project management approach.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with stakeholders across business functions, IT teams, external vendors, and third parties.
  • Enable exchange of ideas, facilitate collaborative conversations, identify key dependencies, and drive consensus within stakeholders and project teams.
  • Identify, document, and proactively communicate risks, issues, and dependencies with appropriate sense of urgency.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills in driving a common objective while dealing with stakeholders with differing views, objectives, and approaches.
  • Set and track project milestones in accordance with requirements and timelines; develop comprehensive schedules accounting for unknown variables.
  • Establish and implement project communication plans, providing status updates to stakeholders.
  • Collect, analyze, and summarize information and trends as needed to prepare project status reports.
  • Conduct project learnings sessions and document learnings and takeaways.
  • Help develop and implement metrics‑oriented service delivery framework for delivery functions across departments.
  • Develop data‑oriented performance measures to effectively manage project management tasks.
  • Analyze business requirements and develop workflows to deliver outcomes aligned to business objectives.
  • Work closely with business to understand work requirements, proactively identify pain areas, brainstorm ideas, and build strong working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities to implement technology solutions; undertake business case studies and present business benefits.
  • Work with internal IT teams on continuous improvement projects adding value to the business.
  • Participate in new cross‑functional initiatives; design and implement service delivery framework where applicable.
  • Proactively engage, coordinate, and manage vendors while keeping USP interests at the forefront.

Who USP is Looking For? (Requirements)

  • Bachelors / master’s degree.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • Cumulative experience of 10‑15 years in IT.
  • Minimum of 7‑8 years of relevant experience in independently managing small & medium IT projects.
  • Background in automations will be an advantage.
