Your Role

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will take on a leadership role within the Marketplace Efficiency - Job Reach team. Your key responsibility will involve maintaining and enhancing a dynamic marketplace for job advertisers. You will lead a vital workstream, define the team's technical direction, and empower your colleagues to meet our product and technical objectives. Your daily tasks will include analyzing data to develop problem statements, creating and deploying predictive models, conducting rigorous experiments, and mentoring team members while collaborating with a variety of cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with various teams to refine and optimize search algorithms, enhancing accuracy, relevance, and user satisfaction.
• Experiment with cutting-edge Machine Learning model enhancements and implement them into scalable production systems, executing iterative A/B experiments to boost our matching technology.
• Work with cross-functional teams to clarify project priorities, deliverables, and success metrics.
• Facilitate effective communication between technical and non-technical team members, ensuring everyone is aligned with project aims.
• Guide and mentor other engineers, fostering their growth in Machine Learning competencies.
• Break down large Machine Learning initiatives into manageable projects that provide incremental business value and oversee their implementation.
• Represent our company at leading Machine Learning conferences such as NeurIPS, ICML, and ICLR.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics; or 6 years with a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience.
• Proven track record of deploying impactful Machine Learning solutions in large-scale production environments.
• Strong foundation in data structures and algorithms.
• A sense of ownership and accountability in both technical and product realms.
• Experience with Deep Learning Libraries, such as Torch and TensorFlow.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, effective with both technical and business audiences.

Salary Range Transparency

• Tier 1 - 163,000 - 245,000 USD per year
• Tier 2 - 182,000 - 272,000 USD per year
• Tier 3 - 199,000 - 299,000 USD per year
• Tier 5 - 227,000 - 341,000 USD per year
