Our client is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Management Accountant to join their finance department. This position is based in Aba, Abia, NG. You will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely financial reports, analyzing financial performance, and providing strategic insights to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing accurate and timely financial reports
• Analyzing financial performance
• Providing strategic insights to support business decision-making
• Developing budgets and forecasts
• Performing variance analysis
• Identifying cost-saving opportunities
• Financial modeling
• Profitability analysis
• Supporting internal and external audits
• Overseeing the month-end and year-end closing processes
• Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial data
• Developing and improving accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and internal controls
• Collaboration with various departments to understand their financial needs and provide guidance on financial matters

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of management accounting principles, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and cost accounting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills are required.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills are necessary to effectively present financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
