Responsibilities

• Full responsibility for the Drug Substance 3 department within Process Engineering in the Life Sciences sector.
• Technical and disciplinary leadership of multiple group leaders and project teams.
• Strategic development of the department in close coordination with executive and divisional management.
• Ensuring technical excellence and compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GMP, GAMP).
• Resource and capacity planning across multiple projects and locations.
• Promotion of professional development and qualification of team members.
• Management and quality assurance in national and international large-scale projects.
• Establishment and maintenance of long-term client relationships and active involvement in the acquisition of new projects.
• Representation of the department in interdisciplinary committees, as well as in front of clients and external partners.

Qualifications

• Degree in process engineering, chemical engineering, or a comparable field.
• Extensive professional experience in the design and implementation of process engineering systems, ideally in regulated environments (pharma, biotech, life sciences).
• Proven leadership experience at group or departmental level in a technical setting.
• Deep understanding of GMP-regulated processes, technical standards, and international project work.
• Strong strategic and analytical skills combined with a high level of initiative.
• Excellent communication skills, persuasiveness, and a cooperative leadership style.
