Senior Manager: Performance Engineering

Anthem, one of South Africa’s leading independent power producers, is seeking a Senior Manager: Performance Engineering to optimise our wind and solar PV portfolio, reporting to the CTO. You will drive optimisation across Anthem’s operational fleet and refine energy modelling for greenfield projects to deliver immediate improvements and long-term value. As Anthem’s internal expert, you will stay informed on the latest performance enhancement methodologies to guide strategic decisions across the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

• Identifying operational improvements and long-term initiatives (including repowering.)
• Identifying and delivering performance optimisation opportunities

Requirements:

• Engineering degree (BSc/BEng), preferably Electrical or Mechatronics
• 10+ years’ experience in renewable energy performance, yield analysis, or O&M
• Strong understanding of technical, commercial, and financial project drivers
• Proficiency with Excel, Python, Visio, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI, and SharePoint with experience presenting to stakeholders
• Experience with specifying testing requirements and negotiating performance guarantees with OEM’s and EPC contractors for wind, solar, and BESS projects.
• Deep knowledge of SCADA systems and ,data integration,
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
