About the Role
We are seeking a strategic storyteller and marketing leader to serve as a Vertical Marketing Senior Manager for Walmart Connect.
In this role, you will develop and lead category‑specific marketing strategies that transform insights and industry trends into compelling narratives and go‑to‑market materials. Acting as a critical link between data, storytelling, and sales enablement, you will shape how Walmart Connect communicates its unique value proposition across key verticals and audiences.
You’ll lead a team that collaborates across Sales, Media Insights, Product, Marketing, and Creative teams to create high‑impact materials that empower our sales organization and inspire our advertisers.
This position leads a team that supports General Merchandise, Fashion, and Non‑Endemic accounts, and you’ll report to the Director, Vertical Marketing within Walmart Connect Enterprise Marketing.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Category Narratives
- Manage a team roadmap of category‑specific narratives highlighting Walmart Connect’s differentiated value proposition.
- Translate complex data and insights into cohesive, actionable stories that demonstrate Walmart Connect’s impact across the path to purchase.
Enable Sales Success
- Partner with Sales leads and cross‑functional stakeholders on the most critical story needs per category to develop category decks, case studies, and insight‑driven toolkits that empower teams to have richer client conversations and accelerate revenue growth.
- Collaborate with training and sales enablement teams to train Sales on the most effective use of team outputs.
Influence Thought Leadership
- Collaborate on research and insights initiatives — including agency studies, advertiser perception reports, and category analyses — that position Walmart Connect as a trusted retail media authority.
- Develop materials that elevate Walmart Connect’s role in shaping the broader advertising and retail ecosystem.
Integrate Enterprise Storytelling
- Collaborate with Walmart Connect Enterprise Marketing Content Strategy, Events, and Brand Marketing teams to ensure vertical narratives align with Walmart Connect’s overarching story and visual identity.
- Influence and collaborate with key cross‑functional partners, including Product Marketing, Media Insights, and Creative, to ensure Enterprise Marketing messaging strategy is consistent across all sales materials and enablement channels.

Salary
The annual salary range for this position is $108,000.00 – $216,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses and may include stock.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field and 3 years’ experience in marketing or related field OR 7 years’ experience in marketing or related field.
