About

This position is a highly skilled Cloud Network Test Engineer role with deep knowledge of IPv6 and hands‑on experience across public cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform). The candidate will develop lab testing frameworks, validate test performance on IPv6 and dual‑stack networking in cloud‑native and enterprise environments, and design test strategies to ensure compliance with IPv6 readiness standards across public clouds.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute detailed test plans for IPv6 and dual‑stack networking in multi‑cloud and hybrid‑cloud environments.
• Build and maintain sophisticated test automation frameworks using Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation tools.
• Test network DMZ designs, certify underlying hardware and software features, and enhance overall security posture.
• Identify various communication scenarios, create/oversee testing, gather data, perform analytics, and prepare design and deployment templates.
• Coordinate with business units to translate network needs from business requirements into lab‑validated solutions.
• Provide escalation support to network operations, validate bugs/vulnerabilities, document impact, and present findings to the ENS forum for approval.
• Assist operations in piloting validated solutions in production environments.
• Troubleshoot complex hardware/software problems and manage code/platform lifecycle.
• Collaborate daily with infrastructure engineers, architects, and senior management across cloud, compute, security, telemetry, desktop engineering, and security architecture teams.
• Communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Cloud experience with Azure and/or AWS; good understanding of IPv6, BGP, routing, and networking concepts.
• Strong fundamentals in routing, switching, and general networking.
• Experience with IPv4‑to‑IPv6 connectivity into the cloud and knowledge of various connection types.
• Automation capabilities using tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Willingness to attend a face‑to‑face interview in Alpharetta or NYC.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with LAN/WAN network design, engineering, and feature testing/certification.
• CCIE/CCNP certification or equivalent level of experience.
• 4+ years of experience with Cloud PaaS and/or IaaS (Azure, AWS).
• Well‑versed in cloud networking solutions and cloud compute/operating models.
• Understanding of AWS constructs: VPC IPv6 addressing, Internet Gateway, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Route 53.
• Understanding of Azure constructs: VNet IPv6, Azure Load Balancer, IPv6 ExpressRoute, NSGs, Azure Network Watcher.
• Understanding of Google Cloud Platform constructs: Cloud Routers, Google Access for IPv6, Cloud NAT64, Interconnect, VPC Flow Logs.
• 3+ years of IPv6 networking and validation experience.
• Experience building lab designs, certifying hardware/software products, and performing PoCs.
• Strong knowledge of networking technologies: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MP‑BGP, MPLS VPNs, VXLAN, Multicast, DMVPN, IPsec, encryption standards, and network security.
• Experience with Cisco IOS‑XE, IOS‑XR, NX‑OS, and Nexus devices.
• Python network programming knowledge is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile processes is a plus.
