Senior Network Engineer

Our client, a leading telecommunications company, is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and manage their complex cloud infrastructure. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of our network services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of networking protocols, cloud technologies, and security best practices. You will play a key role in architecting solutions that support our business objectives and evolving technological landscape.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain high-availability network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Manage and optimize cloud networking environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Implement and enforce network security policies and procedures.
• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate network solutions with other IT systems.
• Participate in capacity planning and disaster recovery initiatives.
• Stay current with emerging network technologies and industry trends.
• Mentor junior network engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Lead projects related to network upgrades and enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in network engineering, with a significant focus on cloud environments.
• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VPNs, and other networking protocols.
• Experience with cloud networking services (VPCs, subnets, security groups, load balancing) in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficiency with network security concepts and technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS).
• Experience with network automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python) is a plus.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or cloud-specific networking certifications are highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
