Role Overview

As a Senior Product Manager on our Cloud Networking Product team, you will be crucial in shaping a seamless and reliable connectivity experience to and from Confluent Cloud. Your focus will be on simplifying the complexities of cloud infrastructure to ensure that users can concentrate on developing streaming applications rather than managing the underlying infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand users deeply: Conduct interviews and analyze data to create personas and user journeys.
• Shape the roadmap: Drive essential aspects of the Confluent Cloud Network Roadmap, emphasizing user experience and cost efficiency.
• Develop flexible interfaces: Define and enhance APIs, CLI, and Terraform data models while launching new network options.
• Manage the entire product lifecycle: Oversee cross-functional initiatives from conceptualization to launch and beyond.
• Measure success: Establish performance targets, analyze outcomes, share insights with stakeholders, and refine the product based on learnings.
• Navigate complexity: Deliver value amidst the evolving nature of the product and organizational growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Product Manager focused on cloud technologies.
• Experience building enterprise-grade products as a product manager, engineer, or solutions architect.
• Proven track record in managing a clear product roadmap backed by user stories and customer research.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to foster relationships with colleagues and customers worldwide.
• Demonstrated success in driving business outcomes through product innovation.

Your Competitive Edge

• 6+ years of networking experience in a product management or technical role.
• Familiarity with AWS/Azure/GCP private networking features for SaaS products.
• Knowledge of Envoy, Service Mesh, DNS, and Kubernetes Networking.
• Experience with network traffic metering and billing.
• Domain expertise in networking technologies, combining technical proficiency with product management experience.
• An MBA is a plus.
