JoVE

About the role

About

JoVE is the world-leading producer and provider of video solutions with the mission to improve scientific research and education. Millions of scientists, educators and students use JoVE for their research, teaching and learning. Our institutional clients comprise over 1,000 universities, colleges, and biopharma companies, including such leaders as Harvard, MIT, Yale, and Stanford. As a rapidly growing company, with offices in the USA, UK, Australia, and India servicing clients in over 60 countries, we are seeking talented and ambitious individuals to join our company.

Role

We are seeking an experienced hands‑on Product Manager to join our team and lead projects focused on generating net new revenue. You will own the full growth lifecycle — owning acquisition, activation, retention, and monetization as one connected system, not isolated workstreams. You’ll work at the intersection of product, engineering, data, and marketing to build a scalable, experiment‑driven growth engine.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end‑to‑end growth funnel: post‑click conversion, onboarding, engagement loops, paywall optimization, and everything in between.
  • Partner with marketing to ensure acquisition channels (SEO, paid ads, influencer programs) connect seamlessly to product experiences that convert and retain.
  • Identify and reduce friction at every stage — from signup to the user’s first “aha moment” to long‑term habit formation.
  • Build and run a rigorous experimentation program: define hypotheses, run A/B tests, analyze results, and ship what works.
  • Instrument the funnel end‑to‑end and maintain dashboards that give the team real‑time visibility into growth metrics (CAC, activation rate, retention cohorts, LTV).
  • Collaborate closely with the Engineering Manager, the core Product Manager, and leadership to align growth initiatives with the overall product roadmap.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • 5–8 years in product management, with at least 2–3 years in a growth role at a B2C consumer tech or EdTech company.
  • Proven track record of moving growth metrics (acquisition, activation, retention, or revenue) at scale.
  • Deep comfort with data: SQL, analytics tools (Mixpanel, Amplitude, GA4), cohort analysis, and experiment design.
  • Experience with SEO, paid acquisition, and organic growth from a product lens — not just a marketing lens.
  • Strong understanding of paid marketing channels like Google Search, Meta Ads and others
  • Ability to write clear PRDs, define success metrics, and ship with engineering and design teams.
  • Excellent communication — able to influence without authority across cross‑functional teams.
  • Independent and results oriented with an ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Why JoVE?

  • A competitive compensation package.
  • You will make a direct impact in accelerating science research and education.
  • Opportunity to work with global teams and in an environment that promotes innovation and collaboration.
  • Our strong promotion from within culture draws a clear path to advance your career with us.
