En Carta Diagnostics is a synthetic biology diagnostic company developing point-of-need devices for major unmet medical needs.

Our flagship product, the EC POCket Lyme kit, lets patients detect Lyme disease at the earliest stage, directly at the tick bite, used at home, sold through pharmacies. Lyme is widely underdiagnosed; caught early, it is curable. Caught late, it can become chronic.

We are entering a critical phase: transitioning from R&D to industrialization, regulatory submission, and market launch, with our Series A in preparation. We are scaling the product team to drive this transition, and looking for a Senior Product Manager to take full ownership of the product lifecycle, starting with leading the EC POCket Lyme kit through to commercial launch.

Your Profile

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager with a track record of leading consumer hardware or medical device products from R&D through market launch. You have already shipped at least one regulated product, and you know what it takes to get one through the door.

You are structured, decisive, and comfortable making trade-off calls under uncertainty. You can hold a roadmap, a regulatory submission, and a supplier negotiation in the same week without losing the thread. You enjoy turning ambiguity into clear decisions and driving a multidisciplinary team forward.

Responsibilities

You will report jointly to Margot (CTO, co-founder) and Guillaume (CEO, co-founder), and own the full product lifecycle of En Carta’s diagnostic devices (hardware, consumables, and sampling systems) from current development phase through launch, and into next-generation products.

• Lead product development end-to-end, from R&D through industrialization to commercialization
• Translate user, clinical, regulatory, and business needs into clear, defensible product requirements
• Own the supplier relationship: drive specifications, timelines, and quality with industrial, manufacturing, and component partners. Managing external suppliers is a core part of this role, not a side activity
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (R&D, industrial design, chemistry, clinical, regulatory)
• Make prioritization and design trade-off decisions, and stand behind them
• Maintain product documentation under design controls (specifications, design inputs/outputs, traceability)
• Run usability studies and integrate findings into design
• Interface directly with regulatory and quality teams
• Lead design transfer and manufacturing ramp-up
• Shape go-to-market positioning alongside the commercial team

Requirements

• 4+ years in product management on physical products
• Track record bringing at least one medical device or IVD product to market (IVDR experience required)
• Direct experience managing external suppliers and CMOs
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Comfortable making decisions with incomplete information
• English proficiency

Backgrounds welcome: engineering, life sciences, biomedical, industrial design, or similar.
